Stroll around Aberaeron & park for free.
Aberaeron is a picturesque & colourful Georgian town with no hills!
Take a pleasant stroll through the park, along the river Aeron, around the harbour, beach & prom via shops, pubs, cafes & town centre.
Parking can be difficult in this lovely harbour town on a sunny day. Approaching from the South on the A487 coast road, turn right about 1 mile from the town at Ffoss-y-ffin. Go down the narrow steep lane to a mini road about and then turn left towards the town centre on the A482 Lampeter Road. Park on this road, within the next few yards before the bridge. Post code for Satnav SA46 0DY. (From the north turn left onto the A482 just as you enter the town).
Once parked head for the bridge, opposite the care centre and take the path downstream to the left of the river alongside the river Aeron through the park. This path will lead you back to the main A487 road, which passes through the centre of Aberaeron. Cross the road and just to your left, go through the gap in the wall and follow the path over the Millennium bridge to the harbour area.
From here you can follow the harbour round to the left to the beach and promenade or turn right for shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants, many of which are dog friendly.
For variety you can go back to your car through the park on the opposite side of the river.
